Vaasna (Sensuous Feelings)
Vaasna
is the outward expression of all ... that is Cupid. This inherent feeling in all
beings exists to maintain the growth of society at-large. This act gives birth
to regeneration process. Without it no He would be attracted toward a She and
there would never ever be an offspring!
This passionate but innate feeling finds expression in varying styles
and attitudes in vogue today. One can make love in numerous ways purely dependent
upon the level and intensity of the mood at a given moment of time. Vaasna is
not an act of shame. It is not a hidden act. All married people practice it. In
the present society it is considered a taboo by some. Ignorance is without limits.
One has to be intelligent enough to discuss and clarify related problems connected
to one of the foremost of social issues. Why wait until children attain puberty!
Sexual
arousal is not a taboo ... neither it is required to be forcibly suppressed. All
things inborn and inherent find a natural channel ... we have only to provide
a smooth passage. Immature suppression may lead to unwanted situations. Why suppress
the beautiful expression of love ... only find the right place and time to practice
it.
Vachan (Promise)
Vachan is an Indian tradition.
Predominantly when in older times Kings and queens used to give Vachans (solemn
promises) in lieu of some special and extraordinary services rendered to them
by their subjects, they could be encashed by the receiver at the time of his need.
These promises were most of the time fulfilled but at times were a cause of serious
embarrassment to the giver. Times change fast and the circumstances under
which the promises were made also modified. But, a promise is a promise. It had
to be fulfilled under all circumstances as the the giver feared a backlash from
the public. In Treta Yuga, Rama the rightful owner to the throne of Ayodhaya
was banished to the forests by the king Dashratha to fulfill his vachan given
to the queen Keikayi. She wanted the throne for her son Bharat who was also the
cousin brother of Rama. Bharat, a great devotee of Rama had but to rule the kingdom
against his own wishes. That was in Treta Yuga! What of now in this Kali Yuga,
when promises are made to be broken! In a Satyuga, a person of high eminence preferred
death rather than break a promise. Word of mouth was considered solemn, something
vetted by God. Even the common folk treated one another with trust. In the
present days, people in the west still place a lot of trust in one another. Word-of-mouth
and promises are made to be kept. Ties are broken with mutual consent, no hard
feelings on either side.
What happens when you do not keep your promise ... The guilt inherent in you
is carried forward onto your next Life through the atman soul. Why burden your
future with the deeds of this Life. You carry either Punya or Papa onto next Life.
You on the path towards God Realization, why not absolve yourself of all sins.
Never make a promise which you cannot fulfill. If made never go back on a
promise! Live not for this Life alone. God awaits you in his kingdom.
Vayu (Air)
Vayu: Though
termed as air in English, Vayu has more weightage in terms of Spiritual terminology.
An important attribute of the cosmic system, can any Jiva survive without
air or its basic ingredient Oxygen. Available freely and in abundance by the grace
God the Creator it has been abused to the hilt by man. The air which was comparatively
pure a merely 15-20 years ago is now totally polluted. More so in the so called
civilized areas. With no permanent remedy in sight who has the power to reverse
the processes of nature. None can change the destiny of Humanity on Mother Earth
today. Systems created by God are irreversible in nature. If the society is doomed
to decay and death then says the God - I gave men this beautiful ingredient of
nature absolutely free and this civilized animal alone polluted it. All trees,
birds and animals are but mere silent spectators of the erosion in this valuable
source of nature. In the earlier days and even now, people worship Vayu devta
as a Deity supporting Mother Earth. The prime reason why Vayu is referred to as
Vayu devta (Air God) in Hindu Scriptures. The inhabitation on Mother Earth
itself would vanish if their was no air. Rain's contain the pollution to a certain
extent but, praying to Vayu devta (Air God) and seeking his blessings can ease
the situation. In the circumstances must we not pray and simultaneously try to
reduce the adverse impact of our living lest the day is not far when we shall
see for ourselves the total collapse of the system.
Vedanta (End of Vedas) Vedanta:
The end theme of the Veda is the Essence of all knowledge contained in the cosmos.
Vedanta is also referred as the Essence of Bhagavad Gita, the Song Supreme. Vedanta
is the culmination of all cosmic wisdom imparted by Lord
Krishna to King Arjuna in the battle field of Kurushetra.
To uphold the ethical and moral values in the society, something had to be done.
King Duryodhan ruled as an anarchist. A battle of Dharma was the only solution.
Lord Krishna knew that truth will prevail in the end. Noble are the ways of God
the Creator! Vedas
are those Scriptural Texts which emanated directly from the mouth of the Creator.
No Avatar or Saint in particular invoked them and every individual who has Realized-God
can invoke the mighty Veda at any moment of time. Burn out every copy of Veda
from the surface of Mother Earth and God-Realized Souls can re-perform the feat!
There are four
Vedas existing as on date: Rig Veda, Sam Veda, Yajurveda and Atharvaveda. All
four Vedas relate to different themes and after understanding the hidden meaning
of all these Sacred Texts ... One can easily cross over the Ocean of physical
bondage ... attain Salvation!! an atman the soul within to guide, Vedas and
Gita to study, Mother nature to help ... What more can a lusting man desire! Reading
Vedas may expedite your journey of Self Realization!! The Veda are very complex,
voluminous and scares even the bigger
pundits. They are more inclined towards the Ritualistic tendencies
(as was the trend about 5000 years ago) when Humanity was in its infancy. (Vedas
are above 5000 years old ... Who wrote them is not available in the records of
Hindu Religions). For Salvation, it is not compulsory to follow the ritualistic
path ... a practice of the yester years ... One does not expect to take a journey
from Delhi to Bombay in a bullock cart these days ... Only 100 years ago it was
a practiced norm and most comfortable mode of transport. In the years to come
traveling by a conventional vehicle would become obsolete ... We may discover
ways to fly in air, travel on water in more complex yet simpler vehicles. Man
would have discovered the proper usage of Electro-Magnetic waves, the key to all
mysteries of the Universe (Gravitational pull keeps the total Cosmos intact).
No two astronomical bodies collide all of a sudden ... Everything has a premeditated
route. Gita, the shortest yet a direct output from Vedas is a sure shot guide
for one on its Cosmic journey! Why delay the the inevitable!!
Videha Shetra (Cosmic Regions in
space)
Videha Shetra are described in Hindu sacred Scriptures as Cosmic regions unseen
and unknown to mankind. They are presumed to exist somewhere in the Cosmos more
nearer to our planet earth. Reference to such regions is made only in Scriptural
texts, the most commonly referred to is Videha Shetra. Attaining Moksha Salvation
only from Videha Shetra, liberation from all manifestations, freeing oneself from
the cycle
of birth and death forever in the present Kali Yuga of today is the
popular belief in Hindu sacred Scriptures.! The ultimate goal of Life is Emancipation!
During the present Iron age, it is considered in hinduism that Emancipation can
never be had without going to Videha Shetra. We do not know where Videha Shetra
is. What then is the remedy? What austerities one has to practice today to reach
this region wherever it exists in the Cosmos!! One who has lifted himself above
all attachments and is mentally and bodily free of all bondage - All God Realized
Souls know the answer! One who has realized Self and is beyond the mundane existence
of Life is even free of moha (deep emotional attachment) towards his own body.
This unattached attitude towards the body of the Self constitutes one having reached
Videha Shetra ... one who is free of his Deha (body) in all respects.! Think
it over and you will arrive at the Cosmic truth!!
Vidya
Vidya: Knowledge of the Divine ... the song Eternal. You feel mesmerized on the
path towards God! You want to drink the nectar of Knowledge ... To give you an
impetus ... To have a glimpse of the Lord!! What can be more blissful than meeting
the Creator eye to eye ... The Omnipotent one who created the whole Cosmos. And
you ... One amongst the many species on Mother Earth!! Para Vidya ...
The Eternal Knowledge is totally different from the knowledge gained in the present
materialistic World through usage of Science and senses provided by God. Senses
help us to proceed on our Earthly journey but do not lend support to the basics
of Life ... the Knowledge of Brahman, the Omnipotent Creator! Spiritual Knowledge
can only be gained by those blessed few who want to unearth the secrets of God.
Both the paths are totally distinct. One can if he so desires, continue living
in this World and gain Knowledge of the other World but, he may face a dilemma
... A crucial one indeed! Shall he loose all that he has gained in this Life?
of what use is such Spiritual Knowledge if efforts of yester years go waste ...
Merely to know god! One must never forget ... Every breath is a gift of God. All
we possess is his ... In our possession for the time being!! What when
we leave this body! We only have to act in trust ... Become a trustee par excellence
... Then only can we comply with his bidding!! We never owned anything ... Why
fret and fume for the sake of a body which shall be left behind ... When comes
the time to leave!!! Whatever Knowledge we gain of the Lord is not Life merely
wasted ... It is a step ahead in our Cosmic journey (comprising of 8.4 Million
lives maximum) before the atman soul Emancipates and is free from cycle of birth
and death forever. Who shall not strive for such a pious end! A fitting finale
for a journey started as an Amoebae and culminating in our taking Salvation ...
Back to the abode of God the Creator ... To be one with him!! Cosmic Knowledge,
Metaphysical Doctrines, all Sacred literature of all Creeds and Religions available
in the World are ... Different paths towards imparting Knowledge of the supreme
Lord of the cosmos. By:
