Jiva (Being)Jnana
(Eternal Knowledge)Jnana Yoga (Path
of wisdom)
Who is a Jiva! Every being
within Atman soul within is known as a Jiva. It has been destined by God the Creator
that Jiva never plays an independent role in its Lifetime. It is always prompted
by atman the soul within.
A Jiva is formed when an Atman manifests a body. Jiva is concerned only with
one Life, the physical part of Life as seen and controlled by the senses and limited
by about hundred years. Whereas Atmans Souls are Cosmic travelers with a maximum
of 8.4 Million Life spans to manifest in one cosmic Life span.
Every jiva can be compared to a living transistor whereas the singer at the radio
station whose voice is being broadcast through the transistor is atman the soul
within. As long as the battery, the power source in intact, the jiva lives ...
The moment the source is discharged, all is over for the physical being. Death
has taken over. Time has come for the Atman, the Cosmic traveler to leave the
body. The Atman continues on its Cosmic journey to manifest another body, a new
Life! With
the phasing out of the transistor, does the voice being relayed die out? Atman
soul, the Cosmic inner being continues on its Cosmic journey least perturbed by
the fact that the body it manifested in earlier Life had died. Death has no meaning
for atman the soul within. It has always remained unattached with the manifested
form. Only after thorough purification is achieved does an atman soul liberate
itself. In the manifested World this phenomenon is reflected as the birth and
death of a being be it a plant, animal or a Human Being!!
It is only
the ignorance of the Human Being that makes him fear the death.
The small inner voice one hears is nothing but the powerful voice being relayed
... How many take cognizance is merited in the fact that in a given time only
one or two man Gods arrive on the scene. Every atman soul is in direct contact
with the Creator of the cosmos all the time. All powerful and knowing all, every
Atman can travel to any part of the cosmos within no time. Jiva though indirectly
is a powerful attribute of every atman soul for every atman soul has no power
within it to cleanse itself of the impurities. It has but to manifest a body which
assists it in the purification process.
Jnana
(Eternal Knowledge) Jnana
is that path in Spirituality rarely treaded by even the most serious of all seekers.
With none to guide, it is extremely difficult for one to proceed on this path.
Only God-Realized Souls are competent to guide one on the path. How many such
Souls are present in mankind at a given moment of time... maximum one or two!
God Realized
Souls are those personalities who having started, in search of God... completed
their journey... realized their inner
self. Knower of Brahman (The creator of the cosmos)... they can guide
Humanity if they so desire. Every God Realized soul has two paths to follow. Having
emaciated themselves from the cycle of Birth
and Death... they can leave their body... attain Moksha Salvation!
Alternatively, they can give back to the community whatever they learnt... Help
those who are seriously interested proceed on the path of Jnana Yoga (Path of
wisdom)! Jnana Yoga primarily follows a set of rules without which achieving
the ultimate is not possible. It is like standing on ground one can never have
the view of whole New York. You have to climb high on Empire State Building...
There is no other way out! Elevating self on the Cosmic Plane requires one
to practice Absolute Celibacy. If persisted for a continuous period of twelve
years coupled with purity of thought ... one reaches the top gradually. Expect
no miracles!! All is the result of Karma performed. Most people fail on the first
count itself. To practice celibacy and that too for a long period of twelve years
is something incomprehensible. When confronted people say, "It is for Mahavira
and Buddha to follow such paths" We want a short cut. Who shall explain to these
Ajnani's (Ignorants)... there are no short cuts in Spirituality? All is the result
of a law which cannot err. To maintain absolute purity of thought while conducting
your mundane affairs is an extremely tough task. With people all around eager
to ditch you on the first opportunity, you need to act tough sometimes foregoing
the calm and inner peace you were able to maintain with so much difficulty.
One can be at peace with self ... Does it help? Others jealous of your inner controls
do not want you to rise ahead of them. They shall try to bog you down even using
unethical means. The impurities so gained distance you from the cosmic goal of
Life. Your inner tranquility shattered, you start living in a World of illusion.
To abandon or not to abandon the Worldly Life becomes the bane of your thinking.
To maintain harmony, continue living in Grihastha Ashram (Family Life) ... yet
proceed on the path of spirituality is the highest acid test of all. In the final
lap one needs to follow the path of Neti (Art of Negation). Neti (Art of Negation)
by which we negate everything in the Cosmos and what remains in the end is nothing
but God himself, The Almighty Creator of the cosmos. Having come face to face
with the Creator, your journey of Jnana Yoga is complete. True seeker never
seeks bodily pleasures for self and family nor makes material pursuits as goal
of Life. One is not attached to the body of the master but to what he has to preach.
Jnana Yoga
(Path of wisdom) Jnana
Yoga is totally different from the knowledge of the physical World which is gained
through the senses! To live in this World it is totally essential to have knowledge
of the things we perceive through the senses. Sciences help us to evolve as a
perfect Human Being but, to enter the domain of God the Creator of the cosmos
... Esoteric knowledge, the knowledge of the Spiritual realm is a must!! This
knowledge of the Para normal in the various sacred Scriptures is known as ‘Jnana’.
Jnana can also be termed as wisdom ... the knowledge divine which propels us to
pay Obeisance to our maker and Creator.
To understand self, the I within ... We have to obtain Jnana either through
reading and assimilating sacred Scriptures or hearing discourses from Self-Realized
Souls (those who know the journey to the abode of God). Destination being the
same we may take the path of any Religion as per convenience! Knowledge of
the supreme Lord helps us in better understanding of our relationships towards
fellow beings and other species manifesting on Mother Earth! We tend to live a
Life full of equipoise and mental peace after acquiring Spiritual knowledge.
Unless you want to realize God ... attain moksha within this Life (reach a stage
when all becomes one for you) ... One need not fear that knowledge gained through
the Scriptures would make us a wandering ascetic and take us far away from our
home and families! Once you fail to differentiate between two Human Beings
identifying all on the basis of atman the soul within ... Which is of the same
nature and Essence ... The cause for any fear on any account is totally unfounded.
If you really strive for inner peace ... seek Jnana!! By:
