Attributes
of God - Attributes Hindu Gods
Hindu gods brahma vishnu and shiva - brahman hindu god
The most primary
attributes of Hindu gods... primarily Brahman... the ultimate God...
the creator of cosmic system are three... Lord Brahma, Lord Vishnu
and Lord Shiva (also known as Lord Mahesh)! Of all the three attributes
of Hindu gods, Lord Shiva (Mahesh) is considered the most powerful...
the ultimate controller of cosmic system!
What does attributes
of God primarily mean? What is the fundamental definition of God
Almighty termed Brahman in Hinduism! God Almighty is also termed
Sanatana Purusha, Parmatman, Karta, Prabhu, Bhagwan, Ishwar, Brahman
and so on. As is the attribute of God Almighty in Hinduism... accordingly
manifests the terminology.
God Almighty
termed Brahman in Hinduism is also known as Sanatana Purusha! Why?
The attribute... the name Sanatana Purusha originates from the fact
that God Almighty has perennial nature... it exists from times immemorial!
Because of the existence of God Almighty since the beginning of
time... it is also termed Sanatana Purusha in Hinduism!
God Almighty...
Brahman in Hinduism is also termed Karta! Why? God Almighty... Brahman
in Hindu terminology is also pronounced by the name of Karta for
the prime reason... God Almighty is considered the originator of
all things cosmic! As per Hinduism doctrines... everything that
happens in the cosmos owes its existence to God Almighty... the
doer of all things cosmic!
In Hinduism
it is a considered fact that apart from God Almighty... apart from
Karta (doer) nothing else exists in whole of cosmos! The doctrine
of Maya and also doctrine of Advaita Vedanta confirms this. In Hinduism
the whole cosmic system is made up of basic building block of cosmos...
clusters of atoms and molecules!
Even the human
form when viewed from God Almighty point of view is but a cluster
of atoms and molecules! Only when viewed from limited power of senses...
things appear solid otherwise all is gaseous formation! The prime
reason why God Almighty... Brahman is also termed Karta... doer
of all that happens in cosmos.
Unless God Almighty exploded self with a big bang... the cosmos
would not get created... the prime reason why God Almighty is termed
Karta! The creative attribute of God Almighty is termed Lord Brahma...
the creator of all things cosmic! To pray to God... to worship God
as a single entity was incomprehensible by ordinary mortals... the
commoners... the masses!
Hinduism created
three primary attributes of God Almighty which is also termed Hindu
Trinity. The Hindu Trinity of Gods consists of Lord Brahma, Lord
Vishnu and Lord Shiva! Lord Brahma is the first attribute of God
Almighty... the most primary attribute of God Almighty! Unless God
Almighty creates... there would be no cosmic system!
Still, mankind
does not pray to Lord Brahma! Why? People do not pray to Lord Brahma
as the destiny of mankind never laid in hands of Lord Brahma but
Lord Vishnu and Lord Shiva! We come unto this world not of our own...
then why should we pray to Lord Brahma who puts us in the cycle
of life and birth that most human beings consider horrible... denigrating!
The prime reason why Lord Brahma has only one temple in India...
which exists in Pushkar town of Rajasthan state of India! Temples
dedicated to Lord Vishnu and Lord Shiva are uncountable but for
Lord Brahma humanity has only one temple in the world. One can imagine
the importance attached to life and death... not the beginning of
life... the origination of life!
The maintenance
of cosmic system rests in hands of Lord Vishnu... the maintainer
of cosmic system... the second attribute of God Almighty as Hinduism!
People in India pray to Lord Vishnu as control of life, day today
life rested with Lord Vishnu! Lord Krishna is considered an avatar
of Lord Vishnu... so is Bhagavan Kalki... the awaited avatar of
present era!
People pray
to Lord Vishnu to remove ills of day-to-day life... to absolve self
from sins committed knowingly or unknowingly in present life! We
fail to understand that simply by praying to God... none of our
woes in daily life lessened! Everything resulted from doctrine of
karma... as we indulge accordingly manifests our destiny. As is
our karma... accordingly our future!
Prayers to God are not meant for asking materialistic riches alone!
Prayers to God are not a one-sided medium! Unless we commit something
to God in return... our prayers never get heard by God Almighty!
Those successful in life always put a portion of their wealth...
pledged a portion of their wealth for welfare of community... mankind
and in return earned the much-needed grace of God!
God Almighty
listens to our prayer only when we indulge in community service...
never otherwise! Ask any successful entrepreneur... all would become
clear by itself! If only by praying to God mankind earned materialistic
riches... why would people perform karma at all? People indulge
in karma thinking it to be a burden! Never realizing that karma
is part of human evolution!
The journey
of life truly belongs to our soul Atman... that has manifested the
human form to work out its karma... remove the dross impurities
within! The moment complete dross impurities within soul Atman removed...
human beings reached stage of enlightenment (kaivalya jnana) and
finally salvation (moksha).
The pure soul Atman devoid of karma need not manifest a body again...
in fact the need for soul Atman to manifest a body... the human
form now ceased to exist! From the first manifestation... to the
last... the 8.4 millionth manifestation... the effort of soul Atman
remains reaching end of cosmic life at the earliest!
It is only by
performance of karma life moved ahead in the cosmic life cycle!
It is a misnomer that karma is a burden on mankind! It is the existence
of karma that makes life worth living! One always lives in unknown
territory... never knowing what future awaits us! Performance of
positive karma... good karma all the time is the essence of life.
Those who pray
to Lord Vishnu must always indulge in positive karma, good karma
if we are to receive fruits of karma performed diligently! Indulging
in vices... bad karma all the time we simply cannot expect to reap
fruits of good karma! We cannot expect mangoes to grow on a guava
tree. Those indulging in godly thinking and a sunny disposition
receive grace of God all the time!
Lord Shiva... the third and the most powerful attribute of God Almighty
(also known as Brahman in Hinduism) exercises control over death...
the prime reason why mankind fears Lord Shiva... Lord Mahesh! For
traveling the spiritual path... the unknown path of spirituality
people worship Lord Shiva for awakening of their kundalini... manifesting
cosmic powers that be!
People pray
to Shiva lingam and Yoni... to seek blessings of Lord Shiva! It
is meeting of Shiva lingam and yoni that makes the journey of life
possible! Conception... conceiving becomes possible by praying to
Lord Shiva... so is the considered norm in Hinduism! Still people
fail to realize that Lord Shiva is still an attribute of God Almighty...
Brahman!
The ultimate
power of cosmos laid with Brahman... the Hindu God Almighty! Prayers
to Lord Brahma, Lord Vishnu and Lord Shiva may definitely help but
ultimate success in life becomes possible when human beings manifest
karma in a positive manner. Indulgence in negative karma leads to
destructive tendencies... one ultimately earns the wrath of God!
Girls pray to Lord Shiva to seek a beautiful partner in life! Those
without a child seek blessings of Lord Shiva to conceive early!
As the final control of life and death lay with Lord Shiva, Lord
Mahesh... it is always considered the most powerful attribute of
God Almighty (Brahman in Hinduism)!
Seekers of spiritual
path never fell for different attributes of God Almighty! Praying
to different attributes of God Almighty is indulging in rituals...
on the path of pure spirituality... there is no place for religion...
rituals in life! The path of religion was ordained by God Almighty
for living the physical manifest life of 70 to 80 years in a meaningful
manner!
For undertaking
the journey towards inner domain... our soul Atman... the spirit
within one needs traveling path of absolute spirituality! Spirituality
is the path traveling which Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansa and Maharishi
Ramana finally gained enlightenment (kaivalya jnana) and salvation
(moksha) in their lifetime.
If we truly desire fathoming wisdom contained in Bhagavad-Gita of
Hinduism... traveling path of spirituality is necessitated! Bhagavad-Gita
is one such source in Hinduism knowing which human beings finally
emancipated from cycle of birth and death forever. Our soul Atman
finally regaining its lost original pure prime pristine form enters
abode of God, kingdom of God... the moment human beings reached
the stage of salvation (moksha).
Apart from Lord
Brahma, Lord Vishnu and Lord Shiva... there are numerous more Hindu
gods! In Hinduism there is no dearth of gods. For a population of
about thousand million, Hindus have 330 million gods... that is
one God for every three persons! The present mankind... particularly
Hindus indulges more in rituals than gaining wisdom contained in
sacred scriptures of Hinduism.
It is the path
of spirituality that takes one towards God Almighty. The path of
religion never takes one towards God Almighty! Following any religion
whatsoever no human being can ever claim reaching God in ones lifetime!
God Almighty... Brahman in Hinduism can only be reached via the
path of jnana yoga... never bhakti yoga!
Both Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansa and Maharishi Ramana started in
search of God via path of bhakti yoga... subsequently they switched
to jnana yoga... the path of absolute wisdom! Bhagavad-Gita of Hinduism
is one such sacred Scripture on mother Earth... indulging in which
one reaches kingdom of God (termed Vaikuntha in Hinduism).
In a nutshell
for reaching the stage of enlightenment and salvation... one needs
following the path of spirituality... not religion or rituals! This
is how God Almighty ordained manifest life on mother Earth to be!
All human beings... all forms of life on mother Earth are bound
by indisputable doctrine of karma... laws of karma! As we sow so
shall we reap... nothing less or more says the law of karma!
