Moksha
Hinduism Liberation - Salvation
Moksha definition - hindu moksha
The doctrine
of moksha... the concept of moksha in Hinduism is central to all
Hindu teachings... the foremost of all sacred scriptures... the
sacred Bhagavad-Gita! The entire teachings of Bhagavad-Gita relate
to moksha Hinduism so much so that all the 700 shlokas (verses)
lead a human being towards attaining moksha (termed salvation).
The concept
of moksha Hinduism has no parallel in mankind! It was for prime
purpose of attaining moksha as per Hinduism that every soul atman
manifests the human form! The moment human beings reached the
stage of enlightenment (kaivalya jnana) and finally salvation (moksha)...
all is over for soul atman the spirit within!
From the beginning
of first manifestation to the last... the 8.4 millionth manifestation
the effort of every soul atman remains reaching the end of cosmic
life at the earliest! Of its own no soul atman can purify itself...
similar as one KG of pure gold sandwiched in hundred KG lump of
gold ore cannot extract itself of its own!
For extracting
one KG of pure gold we need external mining machinery and processes!
Similarly every soul atman also requires manifesting a chain of
8.4 million bodies to work out its karma... cleanse itself of the
dross impurities within! The prime purpose of karma is facilitating
the movement of soul from one manifestation to another... one body
to next!
As per cosmic
crux of life it is our soul atman that manifests the human form
and not vice versa! It is not within the capability of a human body
to manifest a soul atman. Our soul atman is absolute master and
controller of body and not otherwise! No sooner human beings reach
8.4 millionth manifestation... the soul atman regains its original
pure prime pristine primordial form!
Gaining moksha...
reaching end of cosmic life... the 8.4 millionth manifestation is
the ultimate goal of every soul atman... every human form living
on mother Earth! We may or may not travel the spiritual path
in present life yet; absolute goal of life always remains constant
and fixed! Who knows what we shall be in the next manifestation...
why not travel the spiritual path now!
From the first manifestation as an amoeba (single cell formation)
to the last as human beings... the effort of every soul atman remains
prompting human beings to reach the stage of enlightenment (kaivalya
jnana) and finally moksha (salvation) at the earliest. Gaining liberation
from the cycle of birth and death forever is the ultimate goal of
every soul atman!
The concept
of moksha Hinduism is best explained in sacred Bhagavad-Gita...
the foremost of all sacred Hindu scriptures existing on mother Earth!
It is traveling the path of spirituality as detailed in Bhagavad-Gita...
the liberated soul atman after reaching the stage of enlightenment
and moksha finally enters the abode of God... kingdom of God (termed
Vaikuntha in Hinduism)!
Moksha can
never be attained by human beings. Moksha is a concept that has
to be understood spiritually! The moment human beings reached
the stage of enlightenment (kaivalya jnana) all is over for the
soul atman within. The enlightened one... The moment he leaves the
mortal frame gains moksha (salvation) at the end of the journey!
Jainism believes in concept of moksha (salvation) and so does Buddhism
yet, the concept of Nirvana of Buddhism is flawed! In Buddhism the
world has been depicted as full of misery... dukkha! So is not the
case. The beautiful world... the whole cosmos built by God Almighty
is not full of Dukkha misery! Look at beautiful ladies galore...
can you still say world is full of Dukkha!
Nirvana in Buddhism
which primarily means gaining moksha is defined as gaining liberation
from Dukkha misery in its entirety! Moksha salvation does not mean
gaining liberation from Dukkha misery as detailed in Buddhism! Bhagavad-Gita
of Hinduism makes it explicitly clear that moksha means liberating
soul atman of all karmic bondages!
Moksha in
the human form can only be achieved by controlling five senses and
the mind in totality. Practicing absolute celibacy for a minimum
period of 12 years in continuation is also necessitated. The
practice of absolute celibacy for 12 years in continuation precipitates
full awakening of the kundalini which was not possible otherwise!
The moment full awakening of the kundalini occurs... the Sahasrara Chakra (thousand petaled Lotus) existing in brain behind the forehead
opens fully! The moment that happens... one reaches the stage of
kaivalya jnana... the stage of nothingness... the stage of Nirvikalpa
Samadhi when one can have a dialogue with God Almighty on one-to-one
basis and that too permanently!
Beyond the
stage of kaivalya jnana there is nothing more to be achieved by
human beings! Reaching the stage of kaivalya jnana is reaching
the end of cosmic life... the 8.4 millionth manifestation... the
last in the cosmic life cycle! Moksha in human form can only be
achieved by fathoming the depth of wisdom contained in Bhagavad-Gita
of Hinduism... never otherwise!
I was born in
a Jain family yet, switched over to Bhagavad-Gita inherently...
do not know why! I was always after absolute wisdom that was not
to be found anywhere else other than Bhagavad Gita! Since childhood
I have been reading books and literature related to Sri Ramakrishna
Paramhansa and Maharishi Ramana... two people who gained enlightenment
in their lifetime!
Gaining enlightenment (kaivalya jnana) and finally moksha (salvation)
is not that easy... the prime reason why in the last about 150 years
amongst 7 billion people existing world over only two persons reached
the stage of enlightenment and moksha... they were Sri Ramakrishna
Paramhansa and Maharishi Ramana!
If one desires
gaining moksha salvation in present life... indulging in books and
literature related to Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansa and Maharishi Ramana
is of great help! The sacred scriptures of Hinduism form the
core of spirituality! It is only following the path detailed in
Bhagavad-Gita I finally realized God in 1993 at 37 years of age!
Moksha is not
a concept... a theoretical understanding... a perspective... a chain
of thought! Moksha is something that needs to be achieved by traveling
the spiritual path diligently as did Mahavira, Gautama Buddha, Jesus
Christ or Prophet Mohammed in their lifetime! Moksha can never be
gained traveling the religious path... the path of religion!
For gaining anything worthwhile in life related to sacred scriptures
of any religion, faith or belief one needs traveling the uncharted
path of spirituality with full sincerity! In my entire life I have
seen people quitting when the Iron became hot... not realizing that
success laid only a few steps ahead! It is only by hit and trial
human beings moved further ahead in life!
We cannot quit
at any stage of life come whatever may! I do not remember how many
times I had to eat hell for breakfast... how many contemplations
of suicide! My goal in life was reaching God at the earliest. It
was in the morning hours of third of August 1993 I finally reached
the stage of Self realization... God realization!
One may belong
to any religion, faith or belief... yet, following the dictates
of Bhagavad-Gita any human being can cross over the ocean of samsara
(worldly life) forever! For transgressing the ephemeral domain...
the present earthly domain we need establishing absolute control
over five senses and the mind and a fully stop to all sexual indulgences!
By practicing absolute celibacy... by full awakening of the kundalini
human beings finally entered the domain of God Almighty! Moksha
is the door to kingdom of God (Vaikuntha in Hinduism). Moksha can
never be gained in the human form physically! The moment an enlightened
one after gaining kaivalya jnana (absolute wisdom) leaves the body...
one gains moksha (salvation)!
The path
of liberation as detailed in Hinduism is not only the best... it
is the only available! Hinduism is the foremost of all religions
existing on mother Earth... primarily Hinduism is never termed a
religion... it is a way of life! Following doctrines contained in
Hinduism, the sacred Bhagavad-Gita... Human beings finally emancipated
from the cycle of birth and death forever.
Every human
being has been ordained a journey of 1.1 million manifestations
in the human form to reach the stage of enlightenment (kaivalya
jnana) and finally moksha (salvation). Whether we do it now in present
life or leave it for future manifestations is the sole prerogative
of every individual human being!
Traveling the spiritual path... covering the uncharted territory
of spirituality has its pitfalls yet, nothing is nobler than following
spirituality to the core. The precepts of spirituality are detailed
in sacred Bhagavad-Gita of Hinduism. In the 700 shlokas (verses)
of Bhagavad-Gita are contained those pearls of wisdom knowing which
one finally gains omniscience!
In the entire
history of mankind one single document... the sacred Bhagavad-Gita
of Hinduism suffices for human beings to reach the stage of moksha
salvation! There is nothing beyond Bhagavad-Gita that needs
to be learnt. Bhagavad-Gita of Hinduism is the end of all... the
epitome of spirituality! Following Bhagavad-Gita one can easily
reach stage of moksha forever!
