is Lord Krishna blue Hinduism
Who is Lord krishna - hindu god krishna
An avatar of
his era (God manifest in human form)... what other color can Krishna
manifest other than blue? Blue is the color of sky... the unfathomable
wilderness of cosmos... endless and serene! Lord Krishna gave
the doctrine of Bhagavad-Gita to mankind. The unfathomable depth
of wisdom contained in Bhagavad-Gita is self explanatory!
What more can
we expect of Lord Krishna... one born an ordinary mortal yet, manifesting
the powers of cosmos that be! No human being ever gets born out
of a virgin or results from a miracle! Every single human being
on Mother Earth was born an ordinary mortal yet; by indulgence in
requisite karma... proper karma reached gigantic heights on the
the level of Mahavira, Gautama Buddha, Jesus Christ or Prophet Mohammed...
man gods who gained enlightenment (kaivalya jnana) and finally salvation
(moksha) in their lifetime! Lord Krishna was born an avatar of his
era (God manifest in human form)... why? It was for the simple reason
that Lord Krishna wanted to cleanse the society of its ills... reestablish
Dharma (righteousness) against all odds!
the level of a man God... for practicing Dharma of Chanakya (the
most able administrator in the history of mankind) Lord Krishna
was at times required to practice forgiveness of the highest order
that can virtually ever be imagined by normal human beings... ordinary
mortals! It is much more than drinking a cup of poison!
It is only by
forgiving people Lord Krishna practiced... rather inculcated within
him a cosmic strength that was not visible to the mortal eye! In
doing so... Lord Krisna had to fight injustice within him at every
stage of life! This resulted in his body taking the color of
blue for the sins of the society... the world en masse had to be
borne by him until the opportune moment turned up!
As stated in
Bhagavad-Gita... no person gets punished in life until one has committed
hundred sins! Until the 99th sin someone has to bear the onslaught
of bad deeds! It was Lord Krishna who took unto himself the burden
of sins committed by the community en masse. The blue color of Lord
Krishna depicts the depth of his character!
At no stage of life Lord Krishna was fearful of anything! Still
very young, Lord Krishna displayed extraordinary celestial powers
by dancing on the hood of King Vasuki... the many headed serpent...
King of all reptiles cobras that be! Lord Krisna dancing on the
hood of King Vasuki displays the power of his cosmic strength...
his determination to exterminate adharma (lawlessness)!
was an avatar of Dwaper Yuga... in present times people await coming
of Bhagavan Kalki... a Messiah of present era... the Kaliyuga...
Dark Age... the present metal age! The blue color is only symbolic...
does not mean Bhagavan Kalki would manifest a body of blue color.
The blue color is symbolic of internal strength... the calmness,
serenity that lay underneath!
The blue color
of ocean... the blue color of sky depicts the vastness... the inherent
strength of oceans and the skies! None knows what lay beneath the
shallow waters of oceans and seas! In the vast expanse of cosmos...
blue sky is only a reflection of vastness of the cosmos! When the
whole cosmos submerges within a human being... we call one an avatar
(God manifest in human form)!
Suffering humiliation one after another... Lord Krishna ultimately
developed the power of forgiveness... compassion! He ultimately
put aside all differences and transmuted all the cosmic powers that
be behind the only goal of life... become an avatar (God manifest
in human form) and eradicating from society, ailing mankind... the
existing ills... Adharma (lawlessness)!
Unless the problem
was nipped in bud... society would not have a permanent solution!
The Pandavas had already suffered for 12 years... they were ordered
another 12 years of exile! It was then Krishna said... enough is
enough! No more exile for Pandavas. The battle of Dharma (righteousness)
had to be fought in face of Adharma (lawlessness)... there was no
the famous battle of Mahabharata between Pandavas and Kauravas!
The battle of Mahabharata signifies that forgiveness and compassion
can be practiced but everything in life has a timeframe. Beyond
that time frame it is only a hard pitched battle that can provide
the remedy! Those adamant for fighting need to learn a lesson in
the battle of Dharma against Adharma!
The blue color of Lord Krishna encompasses the whole cosmos!
Fighting for Dharma (righteousness) is our birthright... stated
Krisna! When the evil forces of Adharma (lawlessness) bared its
fangs... there was no other remedy than to fight head-on! In such
times when Pandava King Arjuna refused to fight his brethren, his
spiritual master and maternal grandfather... Lord Krishna imparted
to Arjuna the doctrine of Bhagavad-Gita!
admonished King Arjuna saying... it was not a battle being fought
between members of two clans... it was a fight between Dharma (righteousness)
and Adharma (lawlessness)! King Arjuna represented his countrymen.
For the sake of country... for the sake of countrymen he had to
fight! It was not a personal battle with Duryodhana... his cousin...
At the end of
sermon of Bhagavad-Gita King Arjuna understood the sayings of Lord
Krishna. He agreed to fight the enemy head-on! Lord Krisna became
his charioteer... his spiritual guide in the battle against adharma
Blue color of Lord Krishna embodies the vastness of his character...
the depth of his vision... the unfailing timeliness of his deeds!
At the opportune moment Lord Krisna always advised Pandava kings
to strike when the iron is hot! In the battle of Mahabharata Kaurava
king Duryodhana not only lost but his ego was badly bruised!
The battle of
Mahabharata was a battle between godly and satanic forces... it
was a fight between God and Satan! Eventually God had to win under
all circumstances... so is destined by God Almighty! In every fight
between Dharma (righteousness) and Adharma (lawlessness), Dharma
(righteousness) always had to win... there is no other alternative
destined by God Almighty!
Blue color also
represents one having won control over death! Lord Krishna... a
pure soul was far above man gods like Mahavira, Gautama Buddha,
Jesus Christ or Prophet Mohammed who gained enlightenment in their
lifetime! Apart from reaching the stage of enlightenment (kaivalya
jnana) Lord Krishna also administered highest level of justice that
can ever be delivered in history of mankind!
The justice of Lord Krishna reigned supreme... tooth for a tooth...
eye for an eye! In the domain of Lord Krisna; chances of a sinner
escaping gallows is practically nil! Against all odds society needs
to be reestablished back on its pedestal! To achieve this feat Lord
Krishna had to swallow the poison of evil doings of mankind... the
reason why his body is depicted in blue!
something big... to don the mettle of an avatar (God manifest in
human form) one needs to practice highest level of forgiveness!
In absence of this potential power... none can reach the level of
an avatar! In our effort to practice absolute forgiveness... we
have to bear with so many things unethical that our body becomes
blue... though symbolically!
level of forgiveness, patience, persistence and perseverance...
an ordinary mortal became Lord Krishna... an avatar of his era (God
manifest in human form). Similar traits of character would be displayed
by Bhagavan Kalki... an avatar of modern era... the annihilator
of Kali Yuga... the Dark Age... the metal age!
The blue color symbolizes that we have to subdue evil forces
of nature within us before we accomplish something worthwhile in
life. Such exemplary powers as exhibited by Lord Krishna did
not exist in Mahavira, Gautama Buddha, Jesus Christ or Prophet Mohammed!
Power of administering justice in the face of extreme adversities
is what an avatar is all about!
Lord Shiva had
the power to retain poison in his neck... he was an embodiment of
Brahman... God Almighty himself! Lord Krishna born an ordinary mortal
practiced patience, persistence and perseverance at its level best!
In his quest to render service to mankind, Lord Krishna always upheld
Dharma (righteousness) no matter what! Any form of relationship
did not matter to Krishna! Lord Krisna... an avatar of his era was
above all relationships of any kind!
To an avatar...
a Messiah... both friend and foe appear the same! A Messiah... an
avatar practically represents God Almighty on mother Earth! To uphold
Dharma (righteousness) against the evil forces of Adharma (lawlessness)
the coming of an avatar of an era gets mandated! It is almost 3600
years before came Lord Krishna. Since then life has come full circle.
Now people await with fervor the coming of Bhagavan Kalki... a Messiah...
an avatar of present era!
