Foremost of all steps to celibacy is... understand definition of celibacy in totality! Not only 99% people but above 99.99% people world over do not understand correct meaning of celibacy as stipulated in various scriptures of Hinduism more particularly the sacred Bhagavad-Gita... the doctrine given to mankind by Lord Krishna in the battle of Mahabharata!

Celibacy termed Brahmacharya vrata in Hinduism does not simply mean abstinence from sexual indulgence! Refraining from the physical act of sexual intimacy constitutes only 10% of the job... the remaining 90% celibacy is practiced mentally. Eradicating impure thoughts altogether from its source is what celibacy is all about!

Practitioners of absolute celibacy do not allow even a single thought to enter their brain knowingly or unknowingly! Invoking pure thoughts all the time is what celibacy is all about. Most human beings simply practice sexual abstinence and think their job is over! For full awakening of kundalini Shakti practice of absolute celibacy is a must!

Similar as steam does not develop until temperature reaches hundred degrees centigrade... full awakening of kundalini energy also cannot be exercised unless one has practiced absolute celibacy for a minimum period of 12 years in continuation! The journey of practicing celibacy in totality is simpler to explain... much difficult to practice!

The most primary steps to celibacy include practicing celibacy mantra which simply states that in the whole world we can only have three relationships with members of opposite sex... the relationship of a mother, sister or daughter... there is never a fourth relationship! Unless we nip the problem in the bud... we cannot exercise celibacy mantra truthfully!

Absolute celibacy needs to be practiced by a serious seeker on the path of spirituality! A householder not interested in spirituality need not practice celibacy at all! However if we desire scaling the ladder of success in life... practicing celibacy has its benefits! By concentrating sexual energies and transmuting them towards the goal of our life... we finally manifest destiny!

Steps to celibacy include preserving the monthly quota of energy provided to every man and woman month after month... year after year! This important cosmic energy provided to every man and woman by the grace of God Almighty is the only medium by which human beings finally reached stage of enlightenment (kaivalya jnana) and salvation (moksha).

Sexual energy is one of the most potent energies made available to mankind by God Almighty! By storing this cosmic energy... by transmuting it to more creative channels... human beings finally scaled those barriers of life which were hitherto not possible! By practicing absolute celibacy one can reach any goal of life... whatever it is!

If our goal of life is traveling the spiritual path... the benefits of absolute celibacy are galore! If we desire winning an Olympic race... controlling sexual energies and directing them towards the passion of our life... we shall definitely win the race in the end! If we desire excelling in the field of education... we can definitely win a Nobel Prize... come whatever may!

By controlling our sexual inhibitions... by preserving this monthly quota of cosmic energy... by transmuting this cosmic energy towards the only goal of life... most human beings gained success in life! Ask any successful entrepreneur... the story is the same... all have manifested destiny by practicing celibacy mantra inherently!

Be one a man or woman... the celibacy mantra can be practiced by both! It is only controlling our sexual urges... the sensual desires human beings finally crossed all hurdles in life! In practical life most human beings while away this precious cosmic energy through pure physical channels... for a few moments of pleasure we finally lose track of life!

In our childhood this cosmic energy keeps storing and we dream higher and higher! For a child there is no limit to dreaming! The moment one reaches the stage of puberty... all gets lost! By indulgence in sexual relationships... by indulgence in masturbation... frequent night falls... human beings really lose track of life!

Only if we had restrained self and preserved this cosmic energy we would have attained any goal of life... come whatever may! In whatever stage of life one is... not all is lost finally! By practicing celibacy mantra one can gradually step-by-step move ahead in the journey of life... the prime reason why some human beings gained success even in later stages of life!

Knowing well, that human beings are carefree... meant to indulge in sexual relationships... God Almighty ordained a particular quota of energy provided to every man and woman month after month! It is only by preserving this cosmic energy one moved ahead in life. All steps to celibacy finally lead one to a successful life... be it the spiritual path or the physical manifest world!

In the field of spirituality one very vital aspect of practicing celibacy is... all steps to celibacy leads one towards the stage of Nirvikalpa Samadhi... the stage of absolute nothingness when one can have a dialogue with God Almighty on one-to-one basis and that too permanently! It is only by practice of absolute celibacy one finally reaches the stage of enlightenment and salvation!

Steps to celibacy lead one directly to the abode of God... the kingdom of God (termed Vaikuntha in Hinduism). After practicing celibacy for a minimum period of 12 years in continuation... our kundalini Shakti awakens fully! The full awakening of kundalini energy results in opening of Sahasrara Chakra (thousand petaled Lotus) existing in our brain behind the forehead!

No sooner this happens... one finally gains enlightenment (kaivalya jnana) forever! Normal human beings use their brain 1%. Albert Einstein was the only scientist in the history of mankind who used his brain 4%. Enlightened beings after gaining enlightenment (kaivalya jnana) used their brain hundred percent... one finally gains omniscience for all practical purposes!

The foremost of all requirements on the path to celibacy is practice of celibacy mantra! In the beautiful world created by God, with lovely ladies all-around... keeping a tab on sensual inhibitions is really difficult yet, not impossible! By practice of celibacy mantra we not only rise above sexual inhibitions... we finally manifest destiny... reach the goal of our life!

When 11 years of age I had an inherent desire to see and meet God in this very life! By 13 my simple wish turned to firm conviction... come whatever may in this very life I shall see and meet God! 25 years of yoga meditation I finally reached the portals of God Almighty... the stage of self realization when I can have a permanent communion with God Almighty on one-to-one basis!

In my journey towards God I was not aware what kundalini meant! Nor was the practice of celibacy ever explained to me by anyone! It is only by hit and trial method I finally realized that I had to control my sexual inhibitions in totality. Practicing absolute celibacy for a period of 14 years in continuation I finally realized God in 1993 at 37 years of age!

Every venture... every journey into the unknown has its pitfalls! When young I searched for a guru... a spiritual master to guide me in the journey of life but there was none to be found! Finally I started on the spiritual path of my own. I do not remember how many times I had to eat hell for breakfast... how many contemplations of suicide yet, my goal of life always remained clear... reach God at the earliest!

Whatever the travails... whatever the shortcomings we must never leave midway... so is not the system designed by God! Before finalizing our journey of life we have to be absolutely clear what we truly desire in life! In my life, I just wanted to see and meet God and lo... the whole cosmos was at my feet! Having reached the stage of self realization there is nothing more to achieve in the present physical manifest world!

The moment I leave my mortal frame... I shall but attain moksha (salvation) at the end of journey. My liberated soul atman would finally gain entry into the kingdom of God (termed Vaikuntha in Hinduism)!
