Bhagavad
Gita
Bhagvad
Gita is the only sacred scripture existing on mother earth knowing which cosmic
journey of 8.4 million manifestations comes to an end. The doctrine of Bhagvad
Gita was given to the mankind by Lord
Krishna in the battlefield of Mahabharata.
In the Dwaper
Yuga, the battle of Mahabharata was fought between the Kauravas
and the Pandavas. It was a fight to the finish between dharma and
adharma. Kauravas who were closely related to Pandavas wanted the
Pandava Kings to go into exile for ever. It was a totally unjustified
strategy planned by the Kaurava King Duryodhana to keep them at
bay.
Duryodhana wanted
to usurp the kingdom which justly belonged to the Pandava Kings.
Situation came to such a pass that Lord Krishna who happened to
be related to both the clans agreed to mediate. Lord Krishna knew
that the Kauravas were bent upon deceit and would try all means
to win the end. For the Kaurava Kings truth and ethics carried no
meaning.
Lord
Krishna who was an avatar of the era had only one goal in sight. Dharma was to
be maintained at all costs. And when all persuading and efforts failed... the
doctrine of Bhagvad Gita was the only remedy left with Lord Krishna. The doctrine
of Bhagavad Gita was thus dictated to Pandava King Arjuna in the battlefield.
Bhagvad Gita encompasses
everything worth knowable in whole Cosmos. There is nothing beyond Bhagwad Gita
that is required to be learnt in life. This sacred document is so complex to understand
that even the best philosophers and scientists have failed to decipher even a
few shlokas (verses) of Bhagavad Gita. Bhagvad
Gita can only be understood by that serious seeker of spirituality who is willing
to sacrifice everything in the name of God. Bhagavad Gita is one sacred text which
cannot be understood by mere reading.
To decipher what has been stated in Bhagvad Gita one needs initially to surrender
before God his ego. Unless and until we have full faith in the system of God...
we shall not be able to follow the core teachings of Bhagwad Gita. Bhagvad
Gita teaches us the core values of life. It is Bhagwad Gita which clarified to
the humanity that our soul atman within our heart is the real crux of life. The
body being only a garment for the soul atman within... it is our soul atman that
has taken the body and not vice versa.
Once
this concept... the subtle core of life that our soul atman within the body is
the real essence of life becomes clear... we need to further understand that the
body was taken by the soul atman to remove the impurities contained within. On
its own no soul atman can purify itself. Every soul atman needs a body to work
out its karma and remove the dross from within.
As the metal within an ore cannot separate itself and requires the requisite mining
machinery for it to be separated out from the impurities contained within the
ore likewise every soul atman requires a body to work out its karma. All
impurities contained within having removed... our soul atman liberates forever
from the cycle
of Birth and Death. As per Bhagvad Gita the cosmic end of life has
been reached. The cause for further manifestations having ceased... this soul
atman gains enlightenment and finally salvation.
From
the first manifestation as an amoeba to the last... the 8.4 millionth manifestation...
stage of enlightenment and finally salvation... how the journey must be covered
is spelled out in depth in Bhagvad Gita. We need to dive deep and gather those
pearls of wisdom which are hidden in the various shlokas (verses) of Bhagavad
Gita. Bhagvad
Gita clearly states that everything belongs to God Almighty. Every human being
nay every living being for that matter only works as a trustee in the entire cosmic
scenario. Whatever karma is performed by the body... the fruits of the karma always
belong to the soul atman within. This is the fundamental property of life.
Unless we assimilate this truth
of life... the diligent workers of the society keep on running after fruits of
the karma performed. This is wrong... they fail to understand that the fruits
of their karma would never be available to them.
On
the earthly domain one may become as rich as Bill Gates but in the spiritual domain
one may remain a pauper. Here we need to realize that it is only the positive
residual karma which shall be carried on to the next life. Our ill gotten gains
of this life shall all be left behind.
Bhagvad Gita states that every
body has been taken by the soul atman within. The fruits of the karma thus belong
to this soul atman. As an entity in between we need to continue doing our karma.
This is the point of disagreement where masses fail to understand the crux of
life. They do not want to believe that the fruits of their karma are not theirs. Stating
it otherwise as per Bhagvad Gita, whatever belongs to us in the present life may
have belonged to some other person in the earlier life and may belong to someone
different in next manifestation. Whom
we consider as our brother and sister in this life may have been my parents in
the earlier manifestation and may become my children in the future manifestations.
The relationships of the present life never get carried forward. It is only the
residual balance of karma that passes on to the next life. Rather it is the balance
of karma which shall decide what our next manifestation would be.
As per Bhagvad Gita if we have Punya karma in our balance then it is most likely
that we are born in next manifestation in the house of a King or a pious person.
On the contrary if we have negative karma in the balance then we may be required
to slog in our next life. We may take birth in the house of a poor farmer. Theory
of karma in Bhagvad Gita suggests... Whatever positive karma we perform in present
life may not result in our reaping the fruits of the karma in that life itself.
It is possible that the Punya karma earned in the present life may benefit us
four manifestations hence.
As
per Bhagvad Gita what does this indicate? This simply means that four manifestations
ahead when we are born then our chances of getting rewarded are bright. We become
the famous owner of a jackpot, we win a lottery or by the grace of God we come
to marry the daughter of a wealthy King.
In a nutshell whatever benefits we reap four manifestations from now are not the
result of our karma performed in that manifestation. The person is stated to be
lucky! And this is the simple Definition luck as defined in Bagavad Gita. Bhagvad
Gita simply means as we perform so shall we get... nothing less or more! The doctrine
of karma takes care of that. In the system of God everything is justly ordered.
Not as stated by Stephen Hawking in his famous book, "a brief history of
Time". Stephen Hawking is wrong... he is totally ignorant of the spiritual
facts. The system of God is not disordered at any stage.
Spirituality
is beyond the capture of scientists and most philosophers. Spirituality truly
starts where science ends! It is only the faith in the system of God that made
Einstein able to decipher Bhagvad Gita slightly. He regretted in the end phase
of his life that it was his biggest mistake to try reading Bhagvat Gita as a scientist.
Only if we had tried otherwise he might have become successful! Science
demands proofs and in the domain of God everything works by the system of faith.
To feel the smell of a flower you do not need to see it. To feel the presence
of God... you only need to close your eyes and have absolute faith in him. In
the domain of Spirituality God is as freely available to a commoner as to a King.
Science abhors this logic! In the system of God there is no queue or a waiting
list. On Mother Earth you may have to wait for hours if calling upon a famous
person. You do not require a written agreement with God... you believe in him
and God believes in you. Bhagvad
Gita teaches us the core values of life. How the journey from the first manifestation
to the last is to be covered is all detailed in Bhagwad Gita. The sacred Bhagavad
Gita is available in the market in India for as low as $.15 but the whole humanity
desires to understand it from their prospective.
If we need to understand Bhagvad Gita we need to understand it from the perspective
put forward by Lord Krishna. Only then the wisdom contained in the Bhagavad Gita
will work in our favor. Be it geetha, krsna, Bhagvat Geeta quote, Bhagwad
Geeta online, meaning Bhagvat Geetha, who is krishna, krisna, mahabharat... everything
bogs down to... whether or not we understand the crux of bhagavad gita!
