Tyaagi:
tyagi is one who has made Tyaag (forsaking) a way
of Life. Born in a Tyagi family ... one may or may not follow strictly the pious
vows. Enjoying the essential trivialities of Life ... to follow the path of ascetic
who practices Tyaag is what only very few practice in actual Life.
You need not be an ascetic to become a Tyaagi. Living in Grihastha Ashram (family
Life) one may take different vows and refrain from committing those acts deliberately
or mischievously. You may want to become a celibate does not mean you divorce
your wife or abandon your family for the confines of a jungle. Living right where
you belong and where you are placed owing to the balance Karmas of your last lives
... you may practice celibacy as prescribed in the various sacred Scriptures ...
Live the Life of a Tyaagi!
People who hold the highest offices in Life ... learned Scholars, scientists,
engineers, philosophers and the like are all practitioners of celibacy of the
highest order. Does it imply ... they're not sexists! Only they have learnt to
transmute their sexual energies into more constructive channels. You
want to abandon your taste for meat. You have to vigorously pursue your likeness
for it and practice not to consume it to the chagrin of few who relish its taste.
Such a Tyaag towards hardened habits is difficult to forego but with concentrated
willingness you can conquer your greed. Heavy drinkers find it extremely difficult
to refrain from drinking. The mere thought of developing a dislike for drinks
is a nightmare for them. You can if you want to. Your will power dominated by
the will of God (your atman, the soul within) will win you the day.
You are at the mercy
your god! Not him!! Chanting of right mantras (Spiritual hymns) coupled with a
Bulldog determination of getting rid of all vices within you ... shall end up
your becoming a Tyaagi of the highest order ... your path way to becoming a man
God. Man gods like Mahavira,
Buddha, Jesus
Christ and Prophet
Mohammed traversed the path... of becoming a Tyaagi early in Life.
None can be a Spiritualist unless one practices becoming a Tyaagi. Only afterwards
can you gain total purity and ultimately god-realization!
